Hi, I’m Anita.
I came to southern Albania in 2017 thinking I’d stay for one season. Eight years later, I’m still here.
What made me fall for this country wasn’t the five spots everyone photographs. It was the parts that aren’t trying to impress anyone — quiet beaches with no umbrellas in sight, villages where someone waves you in for coffee before you’ve even parked, back roads that turn a short drive into an afternoon, and hospitality so real it still catches me off guard, eight years in.
In The Know Adventures grew out of that. This isn’t a script pieced together from other people’s itineraries — it’s built from years of actually living here, driving the roads, staying in the guesthouses, and getting to know the country from north to south. When I plan a trip, I’m sharing the Albania I actually know, not the one everyone else photographs.
If any of that sounds like your kind of trip, I’d love to show you the Albania I’ve come to know. Come along.
